The meeting was attended by the Secretary Law Shariq Ahmed, Secretary School Education Qazi Shahid Pervaiz, Secretary Agriculture Agha Zaheeruddin, Secretary Local Government Khalid Hyder Shah and other concerned officers. The meeting approved as many as 401 appointments in various govt departments against deceased quota, including 211 in School Education, 78 in Home (including police), 29 in Board of Revenue, 11 in Health, 20 in Agriculture, Supply and Price, 14 each in Local Government and Sindh Food departments and 9 in Irrigation department.
The provincial secretaries informed the huddle that various cases which were previously approved by the competent authorities are pending with different recruitment committee(s) (DRCs) in various districts of the province. They informed that as many as 256 cases of School Education and 207 deceased quota cases of Sindh Health Department are pending with DRCs.
The CS directed all the deputy commissioners to expedite the process of recruitments against deceased quota and delay in this regard would not be tolerated. He also directed them for adhering to complete transparency in recruitments process. Shah further stated he would review cases after every 15 days.
